Obituary
Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, Daniel Jerrett, aged 80 years. He is predeceased by his Mother and Father Frazer and Nellie Jerrett; Brother Ray Jerrett; Father and Mother in law Bill and Marion Legge and Sister in law Violet (Bill Sellers). Left to mourn his Wife and best friend of 55 years, Joyce Jerrett (nee Legge); Daughter Gail and Granddaughter Katherine Sweeney; Son Bill (Michelle) and grandson Daniel Jerrett; Sisters Dorothy Reid (Stan) and Dallas Pitcher (Rex); and Sister in law Joanne Jerrett (Keith); also, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartful thank you to all the staff at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for support and care to Daniel during his Stay. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Tuesday February 11 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday February 12 at 2:00 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Interment to take place at a later date. No flowers by request. Donations in Daniel’s memory may be made to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home.

My condolences to all of you. I knew Dan for many years at the Family Practice Unit. He rarely complained about things, minimizing the difficulties his health problems brought him . Our constant discussion piece was his country home, the activities surrounding it and mutual acquaintances – as I had practiced in Old Shop/Hopeall area previously. I looked forward to those conversations.

I had the good fortune of working with Dan at Supply and Services from 1964 to 1976. He was my supervisor for most of this time, and a pleasure to work with. He was always fair and compassionate and well liked by everyone. Our sincerest condolences to all the family at this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
