Obituary
Our beloved Poppy, Dave Hynes, has passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Gail, children Jonathan (Tammy), Joy (Sean) and Daniel (April). His grandchildren, Aaron, Ben, Matthew, Ashton, Julia, Aidan, Lucas and Noah were his greatest joy. He is survived by his sisters Doreen (Ed) Michael, Margie Moxley and special extended family Teresa, Phil, Taylor and Andrew Hadfield. The family would like to thank Dr. Pam Snow, Dr. Gillian Morrison, Dr. Dick Barter and Dr. Matthew Ryan for their excellent care and kindness. Cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be arranged in the new year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

He and Gail graciously invited us in to their garden when they noticed us on the sidewalk admiring the beauty of what they had created. This indelible memory of kindness and camaraderie has stayed with us and we are deeply sorry to learn he has passed away.

I was truly heartbroken to hear about the passing of Uncle Dave. He was an extraordinary person whose kindness, wisdom, and warmth left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him, including me. He wasn’t just my uncle—he was someone I deeply admired and cherished. I always looked forward to the special moments we shared during our summer visits back to Newfoundland, and those memories will forever hold a special place in my heart.
