David Ross Short

David Ross Short passed away peacefully on February 23rd, 2025, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital at the age of 75 years. David was born and raised in Beaumont, Long Island, Notre Dame Bay.

Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 52 years Hilda; sisters Joan Bennett, Geraldine Critch, and Patsy White (Fred); sister-in-law Sue Short; sister-in-law Joyce Moss as well as other family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Lewis and Mabel Short; brothers Rupert and Everett, mother and father-in-law, Marcus and Rebecca Moss, brothers in law Ray Bennett, Robert Critch and Alvin Moss; sister-in-law Lillian Seaward.

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital for their exceptional kindness, care, and compassion.

Cremation has taken place.

In keeping with David’s wishes there will be no service and a private burial.
