It is with great sadness and broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Derek Gerald Legge, who fought a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, June 12th, 2021 at the L.A. Miller Centre, age 60 years.
Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Norma Legge, brother Douglas Legge and nephew Paul Legge.
Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Madonna (Bulgin); his sons, Derek Joseph Legge and James Legge; brothers: Fred (Deborah), Darrell (Paulette Bongers), Donald (Tina); sisters: Marilyn Tulk (Boyde) and Kathy Legge (John Moss); father-in-law Cyril Bulgin; nieces and nephews: Gloria, Alicia, Christopher, Crystle, Douglas, Amanda, Cheryl, A. J., Jenn, Nathan, Ryan, Kayla, Jonathan, and Taylor; along with many great nieces and nephews; also, many other relatives and his many friends.
Derek and his family would like to extend a heartful thank you to everyone that helped and supported Derek throughout his journey. To his many family, friends and co-workers who organized and donated to fund raising for Derek, thank you so very much.
To the staff of the Dr. H Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre that assisted Derek throughout his treatments, we thank you. Many thanks to the staff at the Dr, Leonard A. Miller Centre who took exceptional care of him and the family, you are truly Angels.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will take place at a later date in Derek’s hometown.

Morley and I were blessed to have Derek as a best friend and we will forever feel the loss of his passing.
