Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Pleasantview Towers on March 5th at the age of 83. Predeceased by her husband Harold, parents Maxwell and Ida Earle, sister Effie, and infant brothers Maxwell and Randall. Leaving to mourn her son Earle (Bernadine), grandchildren Nathan and Jacob, many nieces and nephews, and her little furry buddy Charlie. The family wishes to thank the staff of 4NE at Pleasantview Towers for many years of exceptional care and compassion. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday, March 7th from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from St. Thomas Anglican Church on Friday, March 8th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation, St. Thomas’ Anglican Church, or St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Shearstown.

Earle: so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. Before I retired, Dorothy told me that she was ready to go to Heaven to see Harold. We had many of laughs in her room. She never wanted to get up, but when she did get up in her chair, she always had a big smile on her face. Dorothy lived to listen to Brian Finn, Peter Jacobs and Kevin Collins. When she had the music on, she would have a big smile on her face and she would be clapping her hands. She definitely will be missed on the unit. Condolences to you and your family!

Earl, I’m so sorry to hear about your moms passing. It was a pleasure to have known and care for her over years. She was one of a kind. She loved to joke around and had a name for us all. We had many a laugh and sang many a song in her room. I always made sure to pop in with the babies to see her Whenever I was in for a visit. Not going to be the same without her. God love her. Thinking about you and your family at this very difficult time.
