Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of the late Douglas “Dougie” Colbert, on April 16, 2025.

 

He was predeceased by his parents Douglas and Marion.

 

Leaving to mourn are his daughter Natasha; sisters Carol (Glen), Claudette (David), Marylou (Marshall), Kim (Quincy); brother James “Jimmy”; his four grandchildren Daniel, James, Eden and Max; as well as a large circle of family and friends.

 

Dougie enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a very quiet, private, and down to earth. There will be no formal funeral, but a gathering to take place at the home of his sister Carol, with a date to be decided.

Doug used to come to our work a couple times a week with his job. He was a real sweetheart, I looked forward to seeing him every Tuesday and Thursday. My condolences to his family and friends.
