Dear Mary and family;
Sorry to hear of Doug’s passing; as you know, Doug and I go back a long ways, in fact I once did some part-time work for Doug at his drug store on Quidi Vidi rd, and of course in more recent years we connected at my pharmacy when I opened in Churchill Square.
Condolences from my family to yours

Mrs. Thompson, Anne, Mike, Doug, Danny, and John;
Sorry to hear about Mr. Thompson(Doug) passing away. Doug was a consummate gentlemen. All the times I was in the presence of Doug from a little boy right up until the last time I saw Doug he was always gracious and a man of class. He was always having a good laugh and was always in a good mood. I know that my father and mother loved Doug and Mary’s company and it was always a pleasure to welcome them into our home.
I remember when my father passed away and Doug was right there in the room with Dad and he raised a glass for Dad to send him on his way to heaven. I will pay Doug the same homage and have a glass for him tonight as he makes his journey to heaven,
Mrs. Thompson and all the children, Doug was a great husband and father he will be sorely missed. God Bless you Doug!

Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Doug Sr. Your folks and mine were the greatest of friends for many years . They traveled together, played Sunday bridge, and truly enjoyed each others company. Many times either on Linden or Larch Pl. you could hear the laughter from another room and many times it was Doug tellin a joke or funny story. As us kids grew up to have families of our own and move all over this vast land home we knew that our folks were lucky to be deep rooted in St. John’s. My last visit home mom and I visited Mary and Doug across from St. Bon’s ,we had a drink and shared many memories. Rest In Peace Doug, Kids hug your mom for me and remember the good times during this difficult time.
John,
Please accept my sincere condolences on your father’s passing.
