Obituary

Passed peacefully away after a short illness with her husband of 70 years holding her hand and her family by her side, Dulcie Belle Janes, aged 90 years.

Predeceased by her parents Norman and Annie Stone, sister Doris Stone, sisters-in-law Marion Janes, Louise (Bob Noseworthy), and great-niece Suzanne Strong.

Left with a lifetime of loving memories her husband Arch Janes, daughters Doris Janes (Clare MacAulay) and Beverley Janes (Bruce Roberts); grandchildren Morgan Roberts (Tyler Waugh) and Alex Roberts; great-grandchildren Gabe and Walker; siblings Mel Strong (Catherine), Lorne Stone (Joanne), Minnie Goodyear, brothers-in-law Willis Janes (June), Bill Janes (Naomi), Ralph Janes (Ros) and Don Janes (Gloria), and a large circle of extended family and friends who were like family.

A woman of great faith, Dulcie loved large family gatherings where everyone was considered family and were always welcome.  She loved music, feeding animals of all kinds, especially the birds in her garden, and a game of cards would always be the perfect ending to any evening.

Arch, Doris, Beverly and family,
We have such fond memories of Dulcie and Arch coming to visit our parents, Carmel and Ted Sharpe. Dulcie was one of the great ladies in Paradise. Classy and soft spoken. Our Mom spoke so highly of Dulcie. 90 is a wonderful age and 70 years of marriage is remarkable, but you always want more. We certainly understand that feeling. We are all thinking of you at this time. Please accept our condolences.
