Obituary

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre, April 23, 2019.  Predeceased by his wife Betty (Tuff), parents Henry and Georgina Barnes, and seven siblings Tom, Isaac, Harry, Cecil, Mollie Duffett, Olive Stockwood, and Georgina Nixon.  Leaving to mourn his loving daughters Kathy Ryan (John) and Joanne Barnes, with whom he resided. Grandchildren Jennifer Quilliam (Corey), Gregory and Steven Layman, Michael Ryan, and great-grandson Owen Quilliam.  He will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews and relatives of the Barnes and Tuff families.  The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Kristian Green and to the many wonderful and caring health professionals who provided such excellent care and support. In accordance with Duncan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday, April 25 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, April 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 27 at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Duncan’s memory may be made to St. Augustine’s Anglican Church or a charity of one’s choice.

Joanne and family: I just learned today of your dad’s passing so sorry for your loss. May your find comfort in each other and the memories of you all together.

Sending deepest condolences to you all. ,your Dad was a very nice gentleman to many R.I.P. Fly High with the Angels ,your dad used to go to a pub downtown it was called fiddlers and everyone there treated him with the most highest respect
