We are heart broken to announce the passing of our son Dylan R Hamlyn who passed away May 17th 2025 at the age of 32. He had this way about him that he always got what he wanted, he was a mommas boy for sure. In his spare time he enjoyed playing games on his Xbox or one of the many other game systems he had. He loved spending time with his friends whether it was just out driving around cause he hated being stuck in the house. He loved his job working at GM in the parts department, he said many times that he felt this was what he was made to do. He loved working with the people there and he had many laughs and just enjoyed it there overall.
Left behind to mourn with fond and loving memories are his mom Cherie Hamlyn, Stepdad Dan LeBlanc, grandparents Joy & Clarence Hamlyn, Aunt Heather Hamlyn (Paulo), Uncle Dean Hamlyn (Jenny), cousins Danielle Matias, Faith Hamlyn, Wesley Hamlyn and many more, and a circle of friends that he spoke often about.
We would like to thank the staff of the Labrador West Health Center, especially the dialysis team that kept encouraging Dylan and taking him under their wing like he was their very own for the last 2 years of his dialysis journey, he also spoke highly of them all.
We would like to thank the staff of Health Science in St. John’s for doing all they could for Dylan and also making his mom feel comfortable as she stayed by Dylan’s side every day and every night as she never left his side.
We would also like the thank all of our family and friends and coworkers for all the love and support during this difficult time.
Sorry to hear of Dylan’s passing. Condolences to the family.
