Trudy and family,
I am very sorry to read of Eddy’s recent death. I remember him from my time on Fogo Island as a man who was always ready to help others, and a great lover of family. Please treasure the good memories you have of your life together and do your best to share the love you had for each other with family and friends. Death is never easy, and while we say “Time will heal”, it will take a long time to come to terms with what has come to pass. May Eddy rest in peace and rise in glory.

Condolences to all of Ed’s family I only knew Ed from work at Westcan only talked to him a few times in Edmonton however he always had a smile and was an absolute pleasure to talk to so sorry to hear of his passing

I work at the camp that served the Westcan truck drivers. It was a pleasure to have Ed around, even though everyone had to keep an eye on him because he was always pulling a prank. He was a positive, enlightening person to have around who could raise anyone’s spirit.. Anytime we were too busy to get all the work done at the camp, Ed would always take initiative to help whether it was cleaning, laundry, folding sheets, etc., and he would enlist Pat Connors to help him. He helped with Xmas decorating 2 years ago and this past year I was just returning to work before Xmas so Ed & Pat went to work taking out all the decorations to having it done by the time I got back. I always called him “hyper” because he has so much energy and always eager to help anyone he needed it. I think I can safely say Ed’s passing is a great loss to those who come to YK to work and he will be missed by many. My condolences to Trudy and all his family in this difficult time.
