To the Hunter family, My deepest condolences on the passing of your husband and father. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
Ted and I did not know each other well, but we knew each other for a long time, since May 1970, when I visited the office for 10 days. I always remembered that time and the way he looked after me. We were partners together for many years and always enjoyed catching up when we met about once a year.
Please accept my condolences and know that my thoughts are with you.
Bob, sorry to hear the recent news of your father in law. May you have comfort in knowing that you have family and friends who share your sorrow.
Josephine and I would like to express our sincere condolences on Ted’s passing. Our thoughts are with you.
Stewart and Josephine Giles
We extent our heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your families during this time.

I TRUST THIS POEM MAY PROVIDE SOME COMFORTING TO THE FAMILY AT THIS SAD TIME
Gone from my Sight
I am standing upon the seashore.
A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze
and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength
and I stand and watch her until at length
she hangs like a speck of white cloud
just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other.
Then, someone at my side says: “There, she’s gone!”
Gone where? Gone from my sight – that is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar
as she was when she left my side;
and just as able to bear her load of living freight
to the place of destination.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her;
and just at the moment when someone at my side says:
“There, she’s gone!”, there are other eyes watching her coming
and other voices ready to take up the glad shout –
“Here she comes!”.
And that is dying.

Lynn and family,
So sorry about your Dads passing. Sorry I couldn’t make it in to the wake. Take care
To Edna and “The girls”.
This is a sad day in my life as Eugene Pike’s widow, Marilyn, advised me of Ted’s passing. Ted played a major role in my life and career, as he was the one who was my first employer, as I embarked on an accounting career with Rowe, Penney, and Hunter.
Ted was the consummate gentleman; a man of the highest ethical and moral standards, and a role model for all, but especially the young folks starting out in life. Jack Pratt of J.C. Pratt Industries Ltd. was one of our clients, as well as Chairman of the Board at CNIB, who enticed me away from the firm to join CNIB. But Ted was a member of the CNIB Board (and later Chairman) and able to keep an eye on me, and “keep me on the straight and narrow!) (LOL)
My wonderful 29 year career with CNIB, which brought me to Manitoba, was interrupted 20 years ago as a result of a brain tumour, but I never forgot Ted Hunter and the start he gave me. Edna, I considered you as a friend, and I was very close to you as well, and to the girls, whom I babysat on many occasions. While they were quite young at the time, it was not hard to see they had inherited your and Ted’s genes, and I am sure they have been successful and kind and caring women in their careers and as wives and Mothers!
I hope it helps in some way to know that the burden of your loss is shared by somebody from your past, many miles away, who never forgot Ted Hunter and his wonderful family.
My deepest condolences and love to you all!
Lynn, Bob and Family,
Our hearts are very saddened by your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you and the Hunter family.
