Elizabeth Bridget Murphy (nee Walsh)

January 26, 1955 to January 21, 2018

Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden, yet peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, partner, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and dearest friend, Elizabeth.

She is welcomed in heaven with open arms by her husband, Bernard ‘Copper’ Murphy and her parents Vincent and Margaret (nee Lewis) Walsh.  Leaving to mourn with heavy hearts her children Chad, Erin (Jamie), Rob – her partner of over 20 years, her brother Bernie (Lorraine), many nieces and nephews and an endless supply of friends, especially Tracey Murphy and Brian and Joan.  Her greatest gift was becoming a grandmother to “Nanny’s special angel” Summer and “Nanny’s special buddy” Landon, in Moncton.  They brought her the most joy she has ever experienced in her life.

Her love of animals was so immense it came only second to the love of her family.  She treated each fur baby as one of her own.  Over the years she has seen many cross over Rainbow Bridge and now they are waiting for her, along with Copper, to welcome her to the other side.

At Liz’s request, cremation has taken place.  Funeral service will be held at The Carnell Memorial Chapel, 329 Freshwater Road, on Friday, January 26 at 2 p.m. with a private inurment to follow.  In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Elizabeth’s name to Heavenly Creatures, or a charity of one’s choice.

So heartbroken to hear of Liz’s sudden passing. She was a wonderful woman whom I talked to for hours almost everyday for the past 2.5 yrs. She was such a kind woman and the love she had for her Fur Babies was second to none. She had an amazingly open heart and the care she put into the fur babies over the past few years as I got to know her. It’s a sad day on Earth, but a loving day for Heaven.

I certainly hope that the pearly gates were open and all of her loved ones were all standing there with open arms to greet her. You will surely be missed by sooooo very many people and all the fur babies over the past 20 years. I got 2.5 yrs of friendship with Liz and it’s 2.5 yrs I’ll never forget.

I will miss you Liz, as will Toby and Mimi. Heaven is lucky to have you. My deepest sympathies and condolences to her family and loved ones may Liz forever shine down on you all.

One of the most awesome people I;ve met…so good to my 2 fun babies……you weill be so missed my friend// RIP MY FRIEND…

I wish to express my deepest condolances to the family of Elizabeth. She was a lovely woman. She will be greatly missed by many people . I meet Elizabeth about 3 1/2 years ago when my family got our beloved furbaby, Ivy . Liz was so kind and helpful and messaged at times to see how Ivy was doing. I always looked forward to her pictures and videos of new furbabies and their mom’s, and all her other dogs and cats, big and small. It was a joy to watch these. It was evident in her posts, that they were her passion, and heartwarming to see her defending the rights of all innocent animals. Elizabeth- Your value and worth was measured by the kindness and happiness you brought to so many other’s through the many furbabies which many families obtained, including myself. We all knew we had won a treaure with one of Nanny Liz’s puppy’s. You earned your wings long before you left Elizabeth, and on Sunday God said Job well done. RIP.

so very sorry that you are no longer with us. Our loss is Heavens gain. You were just the lovliest. My deepest condolences to your beloved family and fur babies. You will be greatly, greatly missed in this world

Over 11 years ago we met Liz when she lovingly placed our fur baby in my arms. Her love of animals was quite evident and we’ve never forgotten her words of wisdom re raising a puppy.
Her passing leaves a big void in the breeding community. Our condolences to Rob and her family.
