Obituary
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 28, 2019 at the age of 83. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Dorothy and brother Art. Leaving with fond and loving memories his wife of 56 years Heide (nee Schwerdtfeger), son Gary, siblings Jessie (Eldred Lohnes), Dorothy Woodcock and husband, Claudia (Ches Drodge), Raymond (Joan), Lewis (Rita), Gail (Wayne Nippard), Margaret (Kees Zeegers), and sister-in-law Peggy. Family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Tuesday, October 1 and Wednesday, October 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, October 3 at 11 a.m. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations in Eric’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Heide, Gary, and family, praying the Lord will fill the empty place in your hearts and ease your grief during this difficult time. We probably met at the Burden/Sainsbury Boxing Day Open Houses so many years ago. It’s hard to lose a loved one, but such a blessing to know we will see them again.
