Passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on October 2, 2018. Predeceased by parents Elias and Suzanne Kawaja of Corner Brook, and brothers Wayne and Graham.
Leaving with loving memories are children Blair (Jane Langford) and Susan (Rick Tiller); beloved grandchildren Michael and Stephen Tiller, and Henry and Charlotte Freeman; brothers Monty (Sheila), David (Thelma), and Charles; sister-in-law Ruth Kawaja; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
After working for Memorial University in Corner Brook and St. John’s for many years, Eva took an early retirement in the mid-1990s to dedicate her time to her cherished grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Chancellor Park for their professionalism and care of Mom. Your kindness and compassion shown to Mom and our family will never be forgotten.
Following Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Saturday, October 13 at 10 a.m., with a Memorial Service immediately following in the Carnell Memorial Chapel at 11 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Forest Road Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eva’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
