Obituary
Passed peacefully away at Pleasant View Towers at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husband William Brown in 2005 and granddaughter Cori Brown in 2018. Left with fond and loving memories are her children Kay (Rob Newell), Helen (Derek Rowe – deceased), Diane (Rick Goosney), Gail (Chris Stoddart), and Murray (Barbara James); grandchildren Aaron Newell, David Goosney, Paul Goosney, Erika Sooley, and Ryan Brown; and seven great-grandchildren. Leaving to mourn brothers Gordon and Fred Pollett (Sandra), sisters Hilda Lane and Helen Pardy, and many nieces and nephews. Floss was a devoted wife and mother who will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature, as well as her chocolate chip cookies. Special thanks to all who helped look after our mother. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Carnell’s Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday, June 4 from 2-4 p.m.
Deepest condolences to the Brown family on the passing of your Mom. Your Mom and Dad lived across the street from us on Fowlers Road for many years. Just lovely people and our grown kids still remember your mom’s home made cookies! Wonderful memories from those years. RIP

Sincere condolences to all family members on the passing of Floss. I remember her from my young days in Buchans. She was a sweet person. In fact my mother lived with the Pollett family for a while and spoke highly of them so many times. May memories of happy times shared together be a source of comfort at this time of great loss. Mom, you are at peace now. We will always remember the numerous trips we made home over the last 40 years and the many times you and Dad visited us in Edmonton. You made coming home so welcoming and comfortable for us all with cooked meals and lots of baking. Sometimes we would see a family member we hadn’t seen in years who would drop by to visit you. We will remember the many gatherings for your July birthday and receiving the special box at Christmas with cherry cake. There’s just so much to say thank you for. May you rest in peace and we love you.
