Obituary

Passed peacefully away at Saint Luke’s Homes, with family by her side on Thursday, January 27, 2022.

Predeceased by her parents, all her siblings and her husband Clayton.

Leaving to mourn her sons, Tyrone (Pam), Roger (Dawn), and daughter Debbie (Bob) Garland; grandchildren Gillian (Andy), Andrea, Lindsay, Laine (John), Devon (Jonathan), Erica (Constantine), Amy, Jonathan (Sara); great-grandchildren Ava, Jakob, Wren, Fiona, Aidan, Benjamin, and Jacob; step-grandchildren Charlotte, Lyla, Imogen, and Lyla; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mom was a very beautiful, kind and warm-hearted person.

Thank you to the staff at Saint Luke’s Homes for their care and compassion toward Mom for the last 12 years.

At the family’s request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 31 at 3 p.m., in The Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.

No flowers by request. Donations can be made to Anglican Homes.

What a wonderful picture of Florence., catching her loveliness, mischievous smile, readiness to laugh, and warm loving spirit. It was my privilege to have her as my mother-in-law, and I cherish many fond memories of good times together. What a joyous reunion with Clayton! Debbie, Tyrone, and Roger, you have a wonderful Lester legacy. May you experience much peace that your mother is free at last.

Ty, Roger, and Debbie. I remember your parents very well while growing up on Mt. Pearl Rd (Brookfield Rd). My parents often played cards with them. They were very nice people to all.
