November 28, 1995 – November 27, 2018
Passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 22. Predeceased by his father Gary Sr. (2001), Nan and Pop Oliver and Nan and Pop Reid. Leaving with precious memories his loving mother Darlene Oliver, sisters Lois (Brad Osmond), Lisa (Kevin Muggeridge), and Nicole (David McCormack); nephews and best buds Tyler (Madison) and Riley Osmond (Mackenzie), good buddy Mitchell (Kelsey), niece Madison (Colin), little buddies Brandon and Landon Oliver, “Uncle Gary’s girls”, his two great nieces Ava and Khloe, great nephew, little man Carter, and special friend Stephanie Rondeau. “Charles” will be missed by a large circle of family and friends. The family wishes to thank the team on the Critical Care Unit at the Health Sciences Centre, especially Reg, for their care and compassion. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John’s, on Thursday, November 29 from 6-9 p.m. and Friday, November 30 from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held from St. Teresa’s Parish, 120 Mundy Pond Road, on Saturday, December 1 at 1 p.m. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations in Gary’s memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.

The former things have passed away.
I still can’t believe this Gary, I keep coming back to your obituary thinking maybe it won’t be there and it’s all just a terrible nightmare, then I find myself feeling selfish cause I think of your family and all the pain and confusion their feeling and will always feel, all we can do now is pray there is a heaven and your there and at peace, whatever peace truly is I hope you found it my dear friend. The sadness amongst everyone is heart wrenching but I guess it’s shows just how special and loved you were and always will be, I will never forget you and each moment every spent with you, always in my heart

I am so sorry for your loss, it’s the hardest thing in the world and one of a mothers worst fears. My prayers are with your family.
