Obituary
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Gary Rodway in his 67th year. Passed peacefully away on July 15th, 2024, surrounded by family following a lengthy and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Predeceased by his father Harold, brother Tony, brother-in-law Harry, and parents-in-law Ron and Mary.
Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 35 years Bernice (nee Davis), daughters Melanie (Krystal) and Melissa (Jamie), son Darrell (Thea), loving mother Violet, sister Kathy (Tom), sister-in-law Sydney, and precious granddaughter Louisa. Also left to mourn are a large circle of family and friends who he loved dearly. He was blessed with many special friends who stood by him in the last couple of years of his illness. Their support and compassion is truly appreciated.
Special thanks to Doctors Farrell, Bragg, and Al- Sakati for their continued support and compassion. Thank you to the Eastern Health Palliative Care team and unit staff for the exemplary care that they provided.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
Donations may be made in Gary’s name to your local food sharing association.

He fought a tough battle these past few years and we’re sure it was difficult for all of you to watch him fight to keep going. I hope it will bring you comfort knowing he is now at peace. Passing..I have fond memories of growing up with Gary on Malta street in rabbit town.Gary was such a quiet and gentle person he would give you the shirt off his back.If you needed help with something Gary. Was your go to guy.As the old saying goes he could put an arse in a cat.Gary you will be missed by a lot of people.
