Obituary

Her Dancing Days are Done

After the ball is over,

After the break of morn—

After the dancers’ leaving;

After the stars are gone;

Many a heart is aching,

If you could read them all;

Many the hopes that have vanished,

After the ball.

She always kept me on my toes with her intellect, her professionalism and integrity. Genevieve was a loyal and caring friend with a great sense of humour. And she introduced me to Newfoundland! This woman had a great soul and her spirit lives on.

Tor: I extend my sincere sympathy to you on the passing of Genevieve. I have many memories of chatting with her when out for a walk, doing yoga at Mobile High School and living on the same road all those years.. I hope you will find comfort in the many happy memories you have .

Tor, I am so sad to hear about Genevieve’s passing. I valued her thoughtfulness and generosity as a colleague at Memorial University and as a friend. She had a significant influence on my skills and approach to instructional design particularly at the time when the Internet and WWW were first being explored for their potential in post-secondary education. Genevieve was also a friend with whom I shared more than a few “Margherita lunches”. She loved to travel and I have a collection of little treasures she brought home to me from her trips abroad. I hope that knowing how much she gave to others and how fondly she is remembered will bring you comfort during this difficult time.

Bob and I send heartfelt condolences at the loss of your beloved Genevieve.. May you find comfort in precious memories. May her memory be a blessing.

Be at peace dear friend !

Tor, I am so sorry to hear of Genevieve’s passing. I knew her in university many years ago. And then, we both ended up in the lovely community of Mobile. I always enjoyed chatting with her when our paths crossed. My sincere sympathy. Joan

Sorry to hear of her passing. Although I didn’t know her well we were both born in Stephenville Crossing. I married and moved to Witless Bay and she lived in Mobile for many years, which is only a few minutes from me. I ran into her several times and had a few quick coats. I’m know she will be missed.

Our condolences Tor on Genevieve’s passing.
