My thoughts are with you David, and your family during this difficult time. Hold the good memories close to you to give you comfort.

Sorry for your loss, Dave. Your father was a great man.

Condolences to David, Derek, and family on the passing of George. I remember George from the years he worked as stage carpenter at the Arts and Culture Centre in the eighties.
He was patient and generous of knowledge with the stage crew as we constructed sets for various productions. Many of us had no experience in carpentry and George guided us through. He was meticulous in recreating period furniture for the stage.
George also enjoyed having a laugh with us. One time a devious crew member took George’s baseball hat (which he wore 24-7), tied it to a helium balloon and let it float to the twenty foot ceiling in the shop.
George calmly grabbed an air nailer, pulled back the safety and took out the ballon in one shot to get his hat back. George was one of a kind, a fine gentleman.

Sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers go to you and your family at this hard time
