Sincere sympathy to the Soper family on the loss of a very special lady who endeared herself to all who knew her. We have fond memories of her through the NTA and remember her kind, gentle spirit. May peace be yours as you give thanks for her beautiful life.

I am thankful I was able to to visit my Great Aunt Gertie when I would travel back to Newfoundland every few years while visiting all of my family.
I remember one time I was able to celebrate one of her birthdays with her. She will be missed many!

Would like to give my sincere condolences to (Great )Aunt Gertie’s family and friends. I have fond memories of visiting Gertie and (Great) Uncle Lloyd every Christmas when I was a child. She always had a gift for my brother and I. She never forgot us. The gifts were well thought out and she wanted to make sure we liked them. She was such a kind, generous, and thoughtful lady. Rest easy beautiful soul 💗.

We are sorry for your loss. Gertie was a kind lady who helped others. I (Ray) first met her in the early 70’s when we worked in the same building’ and for the past 14 years while living in the Meadows Condos. May you cherish the fond memories of her as you celebrate her life. God bless you all.

We extend our thoughts and prayers to Mrs. Gertie Soper’s family. She was a pleasant, kind and caring individual as a staff person with the Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers Association. Gertie was always very helpful when I served on the executive of the provincial association in the 1970’s.
May She Rest In Peace.

My sincere condolences to Aunt Gertie’s family. I have many fond memories of her , she was a kind and gentle soul. I remember their cabin on the salmonier line and the many visits we would make there. She would always have a cookie for myself and my sister, Raynette . We shared a birthday and my mom would take me to her house/ or cabin to have some cake together ♥️
Rest in peace beautiful lady xo

Sandy and Donna: My condolences on the passing of your Aunt Gertie.. I worked with her at the NTA for quite some time back in the 70’s. We have always kept in touch and last year was the first year I didn’t get a Christmas Card from her.. She lived to a great age and I believe she was proud of her longevity.
