My condolences to the family. I was saddened to hear of Grace’s passing. I have fond memories of Grace when I was a Candystriper at the Grace. I was years later when I started my family and came to the temple that Grace and I came together again.. She will be deeply missed.

Our sincere condolences to the family. I knew Grace from my working days at The Grace hospital, being a graduate from there myself too. I also remember well how it was her who first brought my newborn son to me on the night he was born and encouraged me to let the nursery do one of his feedings so I could get some rest. Little did I know then that he would grow up and go on to marry her great Niece Jana Harding! Grace was a kind soul and I’m sure she is in a wonderful place on high now.

The Butler Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Mrs.Butler’s passing. I had the privilege of working with Mrs. Butler at the Grace Hospital. She was such a lovely lady and wonderful nurse. We loved working with her. She always had a smile on her face and worked her shift with “grace”.
Soar with the angels Mrs. Butler!

Ruth and family
Your Mom’s obituary surprised and saddened me, though her beautiful photo made me smile. I remember her well from our student days on OBS at the Grace;, a kind and respected “ senior” nurse to us greenhorns but also the friendly Mom of our classmate. I’m truly sorry for your loss, a loss like no other. Hold happy thoughts as you honor her love and her life well lived. In friendship, Loretta (Dawe)

To the Butler and Hewitt families:
Ruth and I were saddened indeed to learn of Grace’s passing. I have known Grace since childhood as her parents Brigadier and Mrs. Hewitt were family friends of my parents. Her in-laws, Charlie and Elsie Butler, were also close family friends and spent many hours at our home. I am also old enough to remember her grandfather, centenarian Stephen Hewitt and grandfather-in-law, affectionately known as “Dad Butler”. We will miss Grace until we meet again. Be assured of our prayers at this difficult time. Your rich Christian heritage will sustain you in the days ahead.

Beth, Wayne, Ruth and all family members: I was shocked and am saddened to hear of Grace’s passing. She was a member of my Home League group for many years and was eager to do anything required of her. Grace’s gentle, Christian spirit endeared her to all of us. Her pleasant personality and beautiful smile will be remembered.. You, her family, have been left with a legacy of love that will sustain you in the days ahead. As you go through this time of grief may you feel the presence of the Everlasting Arms lifting you above earthly sorrow to a place of peace. Laura

She was the epitome of her name…full of grace, a gracious lady. I am sure she will be dearly missed but what a party in heaven! Our prayers are with you all. Lois and Norman Garcia (one of those many nieces!)

We were so saddened by this news. Aunt Grace became my second mom when I lived with the family during university years. There was no hesitation to include another young adult to the already busy household. Aunt Grace was a beautiful, caring person with a lovely sense of humour.

Our families spent time together in the summers, camping, going on picnics and having fun. In later years we would meet often for our grandparent’s. birthdays. When I moved to St. john’s after getting married, we spent many a Christmas Eve carolling after church with the Butlers and other families.

Dad has told us many stories about his sister.. He will miss her greatly.

To Beth, Les, Janet, Ruth and families we send our love and prayers as you go through these difficult days.
Diane, Dwight and Clyde

We are deeply saddened to learn of Graces passing as she has been a friend of ours for many years. She attended our Bible Studies under the leadership of Maj. Lorne Pritchett and she always brought her knowledge of the Bible to these studies. Always greeted us with a smile and she always had words of wisdom for me when I greeted her at the Sunday morning meetings. May God bless her. Jim and beulah Gruchy
