Passed away on September 23, 2025, at the Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Centre, following a brief illness, Gladys Sharpe.
Gladys was pre-deceased by her good friend and companion, Ada Casey, September 18, 2025. Gladys will be remembered fondly by her niece, Michelle Halley and partner, Randy; her friends, Melanie Clarke and Rev. Nancy March.
Gladys was a very private person and lived a simple life. She believed in God and was comforted in her illness by her faith. She loved animals, especially dogs and as a result, instead of flowers, she wished for donations to made to the SPCA or Beagle Paws.
Don’t Cry For Me
“ Don’t cry for me now I have died,
for I’m still here by your side,
My body’s gone but my soul is here,
please don’t shed another tear,
I am still here I’m all around,
only my body lies in the ground.”

We met Gladys and Ada a few years ago and became instant friends. My husband and I were in to visit them in palliative care three weeks ago. May they both rest in peace.
Gladys was just not a friend. She has been a part of the lamb e family for over 50 years. I spoke with Gladys and Ada a few weeks ago. Reminiscing of the good times that she had with the family. I will always remember her laugh. God gave you your wings much too fast. But I guess he had other things in mind for you. and Ada say hi to all the angels for us and may God hold you in the Palm of his hands Till We meet again. Love always from Ron and rosemary Cox. British Colombia.
