It is with great sadness that the family of Glenn Michael White announces his passing on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Health Science Center in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, at the age of 68.
Born on December 13, 1956, in Stephenville, NL, Glenn was a devoted family man whose greatest joy was the life he built with his beloved wife and soulmate, Lori Marie (née Benoit). Together, they shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and unwavering support—a bond that was the heart of his world.
Predeceased by his loving parents, Samuel and Bride White, and his brother Robert, Glenn’s memory will be cherished by Lori and their children: Matthew (Jessica), Lacey, and Nicholas (Annabella); and by his treasured grandchildren, Brooklyn and Layla, who brought endless joy to his life. He also leaves behind his siblings: Ronald (Gert) White, Joan (Max) Fromm, Patricia (David) Sharpe, Loretta (Jim) Nurse, Paula Ballard, and Brenda (Tony) Rodriquez; along with his in-laws, extended family, friends, and colleagues, all of whom were touched by his warmth and generosity.
Glenn was a respected millwright with the Iron Ore Company of Canada and a proud member of the United Steelworkers, contributing his skills and dedication to the Labrador City community where he and Lori raised their family. His work was a source of pride, but it was his role as husband, father, and grandpa that defined him.
Known for his quiet strength and good humor, Glenn was a devoted family man who dedicated his life to those closest to him. His family was always at the center of his life, and his legacy lives on in the laughter he shared, the guidance he gave, and the love that will forever bind them together.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Carnell’s Funeral Home, located on 329 Freshwater Road, St. John’s, NL.
