Found out today that Gloria passed away. Like brother Eric said Gloria was a classmate and among our close circle of friends in the Noah Street area. Many times we all skated together at the town stadium. The stories and memories we can recall. Condolences to Gloria’s family. May she rest in peace.
To Doug and the Follett and Sweetapple families: John and I were saddened to hear of Gloria’s passing and send along our condolences. I worked with Gloria in the Human Resources Branch of the Federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans for a good number of years, Gloria in Pay and Benefits and I in Staffing. It was just late summer of last year that I met up with her at the Trinity Conception Square in Carbonear and we had a long chat. We pray that God’s blessings will be with you all and bring you peace and comfort as you mourn her passing but at the same time give thanks to God for her life and the wonderful memories that you will hold in your hearts and cherish for ever. Take care!

To Barry and Families:
I am so sorry to hear about Gloria’s passing. Gloria and I were childhood friends while growing up around Noad Street in Harbour Grace and actually classmates while attending St. Paul’s School until graduation. It was so nice, after many years, to see her when she visited me at my place of work in St. John’s. We certainly had a nice chat about all the years that went by since we last saw each other. May God grant her eternal rest and peace.
Doug, so sorry for your loss. I first met you both when you lived in Gander, on Alcock Crescent. You lived next door to my former in law’s, the Dooley’s. When you moved to St. John’s, I saw Gloria out shopping on many occasions. She also paid many visits to the Janeway when Brad was going through cancer treatments. I know that had to be so hard for her. May she rest in peace with Lisa in her arms once again. 🙏❤️
Deepest condolences to Doug and family I knew Gloria from working at Lawtons she was a regular customer, I enjoyed our conversations, see was a beautiful person. RIP Gloria you certainly will be missed as lawtons.

To Gloria’s family:
Please accept my deepest and most sincere condolences. I worked at DFO and was so very lucky to meet Gloria during the first weeks of my career. At that time some of the programs in DFO including Habitat Management where I worked and Human Resources where Gloria worked were located at Bally Rou Place. As a new and young employee I was invited to eat with HR in their lunchroom and take part in their lunchtime game of 120’s. Gloria remained a friend until her retirement. She was a wonderful person always so very nice and professional. Please find strength in your family and friends and your memories of such a lovely lady. Rest in peace and God Speed Gloria
