Gordon lived a full life & a godly life. He is now at Peace. Your memories will keep your loved one close to your heart. God Bless you today & in the days that lie ahead.. Marie Maddigan Pelley

I am very sorry for your loss, I worked with Gord for a time long ago.

To Auntie Bev, Uncle Paul, Meaghan & Steve,
What a wonderfully long life you are celebrating. Uncle Gord was undoubtedly the force of the Cake family. In our cherished moments with him, Go Jo left memories so tender in our hearts – his signature Old Spice scent, his way of slipping a $20 bill in the sleeves or rips of our jeans (not without offering to sew them back together first), and holding our hands in the Church pew belting a good Anglican hymn. His love and appreciation for you all was so genuine and so forefront to all he did. “Mr. Cake” will surely be missed in all his walks of life, his heavily visited Sobey’s store, the bank, and his Church community, among so many more. Aren’t we the lucky ones to have such a gentle, while feisty, guardian angel to look down upon us now! How beautiful it is to think of him in heaven; his lungs filled with fresh salt water air, having a drink and a dance, and playing a few cards with all those who he treasured and are now reunited with. We can see him and Poppy listening to “Music and Friends”. Sending so much love to you all.

P.S. if the funeral is at 11:00am, the casket better be rolling up around 8:00am… in proper Gord fashion!

Thinking of you,
– Maddie & Grace Ronan
