
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gordon Mundy (Gord Mundy), 61, St. John’s Newfoundland, announces his passing. His departure took place at 12:50 pm on Friday, December 15th, 2023 at home surrounded by loved ones.
Gord was born on January 18th, 1962 in Toronto, Ontario to Ann Mundy. Since then he has relocated to Newfoundland and has started a family of his own. He worked as a welder for various companies and projects both on land as well as offshore on oil rigs and later advanced to foreman. Some of Gord’s interests include but are not limited to engineering, various sciences, philosophy, art, and culture.
He is also very passionate about music and plays the guitar. Some of his other most favorable leisurely activities include reading, painting, watching movies or documentaries, participating in several different types of games/sports, and gathering with family and friends (especially for celebrations and holidays).
Predeceased by his mother Ann Mundy and wife Sheila Ozon
Left to mourn are his children: Jesse and Nikkie; granddaughter Allecia; mother of children and former wife: Peggy Boyde; sisters Laura (Les) and Maria; nieces Angie, Leanne, as well as nieces Kelly and Brandy; grandnephews and nieces Carter, Mya, Tucker, and Brooks; honorary family member Gail Somerton; cousins, other relatives, friends, and his loyal dog Knobby.
The family of Gordon Mundy would like to acknowledge and express their sincerest gratitude toward any group, team, or individual who helped/assisted Gord or displayed compassion in any way during these difficult times.

Very sorry to hear of Gords passing.Hewas a good co worker and friend.He was a pleasure to work with while he worked at M& M offshore.An easy going type of foreman.who never gave workers more than they could handle.He showed respect where it was due.He will be grieved and missed by all.who knew him

Rest easy my love! It’s been a hard few months but we are grateful for the precious time we had as a family to say our goodbyes!
