Harvey, or Harve, was the definition of a family man. Strong and driven, he worked tirelessly to support and nurture his family.

A true lover of the outdoors, he spent his time fishing, hunting, tending to his potato garden and feeding the wild birds. Always the light of the party, Harve loved music, and always sang the largest in the choir! A dear friend to many, Harve enjoyed everything from a good card game to a boil-up in the woods or a day on the bay. We will miss his hearty belly laugh.

Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday, April 28 from 1-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Bauline United Church on Tuesday, April 29 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Pouch Cove Line. Legrow Family,
My deepest condolences on Harvey’s passing. What a wonderful Legacy he leaves behind. We worked in the same industry for many years and I have learned a great deal from Harvey when I was a young man and later throughout our career we worked side by side plowing snow together. A kind hearted man who enjoyed life and I remember how fond my Father was of Harvey. Rest easy my friend and take comfort that he lived life to the fullest.

To the LeGrow Family,
Dad and I are so deeply sorry to hear of Harvey’s passing. Dad was thoroughly delighted to reconnect with Harvey at The Veteran’s Pavilion last year. I fondly remember when Harvey and Dad recognized each other during a church one Monday afternoon.; they were like two school boys, too excited to stay quiet and wait for the service to end so they could chat. Many happy tears were shed, handshakes and hugs were exchanged, and stories of working together at Concrete Products all those years ago began. They shared many visits over the following months, and sat together at the many activities they attended weekly. Dad and Harvey were so proud to have found their friendship once again, and so happy to tell each other stories of their families.
It is with deepest sympathies we ask that you accept our condolences on the lost of your incredible Dad. His beautiful voice, sweet smile and strong handshake will be surely missed. May God grant you peace dear Harvey.
