Passed peacefully away on November 12, 2018, Helen Pike, aged 81 years. Predeceased by loving husband Gilbert Pike; parents Lena and Chesley Thorne; and brother Bob Thorne. Leaving with fond and loving memories children Susan (Wayne) King, Mark (Pamela) and Bruce (Ann); grandchildren Jennifer (Phillip) Barrington, Ashley (Sean) Kennedy, Stefan, Christoph, Samuel, Elizabeth and Philip; great grandchildren Hannah and Hailey Barrington, Nate and Claire Kennedy; brothers Bruce (Mary) Thorne, Ches (Ruth) Thorne and Ted (Elaine) Thorne; and sister in law Marie Thorne. Leaving her best friend and Guardian Angel, Winnie Tapper, whose tender love and care enriched Helen’s life beyond measure. The family would like to extend sincere thanks for the excellent care and compassion provided by the staff and families at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday November 15 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday November 16 from the Carnell Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations in Helen’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Thinking of you with fond memories of Aunt Helen and Uncle Gilbert. I will always cherish our times together especially the wonderful dinner parties lovingly prepared by Uncle Gilbert.
