I just learned of Wayne’s passing. I worked with Wayne at Provincial Government. He was a true gentleman. Condolences to all. I am so sorry for your loss.
Our sincerest condolences Janet.
To Wayne’s Family, please accept my sincere condolences on Wayne’s passing. Although it has been many years since I have seen him, we did work together for a couple of years with the Department of Labour. I remember him being very thorough with his work and very quiet in his demeanour. Rest in Peace, Wayne.
Janet and family,
So sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. It’s been many years since working together at FGA, but I always remember Wayne being one of the most genuine and nice people that I’ve ever worked with.
Rod Bursey
Janet and family,
I was saddened to hear about Wayne’s passing and wanted to send my condolences at this difficult time. I had first met Wayne at a PEGNL function sometime in the late 1980’s and then worked with him at FGA in the late 90’s. He was a straight shooter whose work was always guided by the engineers oath of professionalism and ethical behaviour. His dry sense of humour was welcomed when things got hectic. He will be missed.
Diane, so very sorry for your loss.
Janet, I was quite surprised to read about Wayne’s passing. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Condolences to you and your families.

Janet and family, so sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing..We have many great memories of when he worked in Marystown.
I had the pleasure of working with Wayne for many years at Newdock. Our deepest condolences to all of Wayne’s family and friends.
Heartfelt condolences to Wayne’s family. Wayne was my older cousin who I looked up to in my younger years. How quickly the time passes as it’s been many years since I’ve seen Wayne but have many fond memories in particular at Badger Lake when Uncle Hubert and Aunt Dot would make the trek into Grand Falls with our cousins all around the same age. Love and prayers to all.
We are saddened to learn of Wayne’s passing. Loved ones always leave way too soon…. Thinking about the old family ties of Sugar Loaf, swimming, Newfoundland dogs were always a big part of summer, as well as Nanny and Skipper Heale and all the families. Our condolences to Wayne’s famly and friends who loved him. Hugs to everyone.
Janet. Judy and I were shocked to hear of Waynes’ Passing. Our sincere condolances. I will never forget our golfing days and trip ,when we played “Bay Hill”. Wayne was a dear friend ,who will never be forgotten. While we couldn’t golf since my surgery in 2018 I remember Wayne as an ardent and good golfer who I always enjoyed playing with. Simply put he was a class act.Judy said she was thinking of you and hopefully your good times togetherwould ease some of the pain. May Wayne rest in peace

To Wayne’s Family,
My deepest condolences to you, I worked with Wayne a little over 20 years ago when he started at Newdock. He was very kind and his commitment to quality and integrity was second to none. He was a professional but he spoke often of his family. That says everything about the man..
Janet: Sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing.
I always appreciated his interest in golf rules and in helping with the junior events on the Telus Tour.
Janet and family. So very sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. Though I haven’t seen him for many years his smile and infectious laugh is the first thought that comes to mind. He was a true gentleman and well respected. Rest peacefully Wayne.
When I think back to my early days at Bishop Field, it is Wayne Ash that I considered one of my very best friends. In those magical days of discovering life outside your family, for me it was at Wayne’s house on Blackall Place on a Saturday afternoon. We laughed, we goofed around, listened to LP’s and dreamed of starting a band together, and with luck his parents would invite me to stay for supper. That was a big deal in those days. In winter we played hockey down in Monkey’s Puzzle, the river system where the HSC now stands. As I say magical times. One of the greatest joys in my life was making Wayne laugh, and I did it every chance I could in every class from kindergarten on. I can see him now, perhaps our brightest student, turning beet red in the face as he tried his best to not make one sound while his desk shook. All the while silently begging me to stop. And though our lives took different paths in high school, there is bond I shared with Wayne, acknowledged or not, that remains with me to this very sad day. We’ve lost a gentle, kind soul, a quiet inspiration who made us all the better for knowing him.
Sending my condolences to Janet and the entire family.
Family of Wayne Ash, sorry about the later condolence and so sorry to learn of Wayne’s passing. Although I hadn’t seen him for some time he was my supervisor at the Dept..of Labour for several years where we looked after new installations of pressure systems. He was a fine fellow and we worked well together. He also wrote the American Naional Board examination and received one of the highest ratings ever. May he rest in peace.
Janet and family – Very sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing…I have fond memories of Wayne from our Engineering days, at MUN, in the early 1970’s. While our paths rarely crossed after graduation it was always nice to see Wayne at our class reunions, including the last one which occurred in September 2025. May Wayne Rest in Peace. Bernie Ryan – Engineering Class 1975

Rick Harve
Eminently distinguished for science and management. He was beloved for the simplicity of his manners and the benevolence of his heart, respected for his inflexible integrity and his pure and unaffected piety. In all the relations of his professional and social life he was sagacious, candid, diligent and humane.
Firm in purpose, gentile in execution; justly confident in his own judgment yet generously open to the opinions of others. Liberal and indulgent to his brethren, but ever mindful of his larger duty to the public. A rare union of intellectual and moral worth.
May it extend to future generations the salutary influence which his living example can no longer diffuse.
Janet and family,
So sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. He was a true gentleman and a pleasure to golf with. He will certainly be missed. Our sincere condolences. May he rest in peace.
