Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family Tuesday morning. Predeceased by her husband Alf; parents, William and Mary O’Keefe, as well as seven sisters, Anne Kearney, Margaret Nolette, Bernadette Bird, Loretta Pentzer, Patricia Wight, Agnes, and Marcella. Loved and will be sadly missed by her son Darryl (Donna), daughter Anna and grand-daughters Kirsten and Erin. Also leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories siblings Larry O’Keefe (Bernie), Mary Mondou (Marcel), sister-in-law Nellie O’Keefe and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Isabel was born the eldest of ten siblings born in The Grove at Bears Cove, a place she dearly loved. Thank you to her many friends and family, the staff at the Health Sciences Centre and Mary Queen of Peace Parish and her homecare workers (Sonya and Candace) who provided invaluable support and loving care in Isabel’s last days.
Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends may visit the family at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Thursday November 3rd 1pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. A funeral mass will take place at Mary Queen of Peace Parish, Torbay Rd. Friday, November 4th, 2016 at 9:30am .

Condolences to all Isabella’s family. My mom and I would often give Isabella a ride home from Mass at Queen of Peace back in the mid 90’s. She came to visit my mom the last year she was alive and couldn’t go out. Isabella was a gentle, lovely lady. May she rest in peace
