James Bernard Metcalfe

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jim Metcalfe, who passed away on July 5th. A beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend, Jim’s love, kindness, and compassion touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jim was predeceased by his loving parents, Jane and Raymond Metcalfe; his stepfather, Harold Howlett; his brother, Jerry Metcalfe; his beloved son, Michael; and his sister-in-law, Eileen Metcalfe.

Leaving to mourn with broken hearts are his brothers, Tommy (Charlene), Tony (Bev), Archie (Lorraine), and Junior; his sister, Patsy (Barry); along with his many cherished nieces and nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and all those whose lives were touched and made brighter by knowing him.

Jim’s love was unconditional—pure, selfless, and unlike any other. As a son, brother, father, and uncle, he gave his whole heart freely, never expecting anything in return. His favorite title was “Uncle,” and he wore it with pride, love, and devotion. He was always there with open arms, a listening ear, and unwavering support, no matter the circumstances.

His kindness, compassion, and endless love touched our lives in ways words can never fully express. He celebrated our joys, stood beside us through our struggles, and showed us what it truly meant to love without limits. The bond we shared with Jim is one that even death can never break.

Although our hearts are broken by his loss, we find comfort in knowing that a love as deep and genuine as Jim’s never truly fades. It lives on through the memories we hold close, the lessons he taught us, and the love we continue to share because of him.

Jim, your unconditional love was a gift beyond measure. We will carry it with us always. You will forever remain in our hearts—deeply loved, profoundly missed, and never forgotten.
