Geraldine and all the family, so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing.

There will certainly be a void in the old neighborhood now. You could set your watch by Jim every afternoon walking to the garage to check out things and have a chat..

Over the years, Jim and his team brought back to life a lot of old cars in our family. He always loved to have a chat about whatever happened to so and so from “the bridge”.

He was one of the nicest people I have ever met. No doubt he was, and will always be, the “KING OF THE BRIDGE”.

Rest in peace Jim

So sad to hear of Mr. Young’s passing. We met in the late 60’s I believe, when the two gas pumps were out in front of the old station., He always treated us with kindness and fairness. The world is a better place because of Jim Young. He left a lasting impression on a lot of people and will be missed but not forgotten.. Rest In Peace.

My condolences to the Young family on Jim’s passing.. Jim was a soft spoken man, very friendly and always had a smile. I lived across the street from Jim on New Cove Road many years ago.. He showed great patience with me and a couple of young friends whenever we would play among the old tires stored upstairs in the garage.. During the summer months we would “hang out”, sitting on the concrete window ledge at the front of King’s Bridge Service Station. Rest in Peace, Jim.

To The Young Family;

Dude and families Our thoughts and warm memories of your Dad to you all.

I was very saddened by the passing of “Father Young”. He will be leaving a big void to fill. I was basically adopted into the family over 40 years ago when Cathy and I became best friends and I have been treated like a family member since that time. I will miss him sticking is tongue out at me whenever I came into the room, and the smell of cigars in the house for it meant that he was home or not far away. He had a love of dogs, especially Prince his German Sheppard. Anytime I smell a cigar in the future it will remind me of him. My thoughts and prayers are with “my adopted family” at this time and I will always hold “Father Young” in a special place in my heart.

Love “your other daughter” Darlene xoxoxo
