Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother Louise at Glenbrook Lodge on October 08, 2018 aged 87 years.  Predeceased by husband Cator and son Christopher, parents John and Rita Parsons, sister Dorothy Tucker and brothers Clyde and Gordon Parsons.

Leaving to mourn with many cherished memories are her daughters Claudine Beaulieu, and Cheryl Lantz (James), sons Melvin (Elaine), Cator Jr. (Barbara), Wayne (Judy) and Jim.  Precious grandmother to Chad Gill (Wanda), Danica Butler (Jeff), Christa Gill, Denise Duckett (John), Suzanne Beaulieu, Heather Coelho (Matthew), Christopher Gill and Jonathan Gill.  Left with happy memories of ‘Nanny Lou’ are her 11 great grandchildren.  Also left to mourn are her siblings Clayton Parsons (Bessie deceased), Mildred MacDonald (Cyril deceased), Shirley Dowding (David deceased), Marilyn Johnston (Al), John Parsons (Sandra), sister-in-law Judy Parsons (Gordon deceased) and numerous relatives and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Glenbrook Lodge for their care and compassion.

Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday, October 11th and from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Friday, October 12th. Funeral will be held on Saturday, October 13th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from Church of The Ascension, Smallwood Drive, Mt Pearl. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Rd.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Kids Eat Smart or School Lunch Programs.

Sorry to hear of Aunt Louise’s passing. I have fond memories of her during my time in university and heading to her place for Sunday dinner. You never left hungry! My heartfelt sympathy to the family.
