Obituary

Passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Home on April 27, 2023, Jeanne Marie Louisette Perlin, age 88 years.

Predeceased by her loving husband Edward (Ted).

Leaving to mourn son Keith and daughter in-law Elizabeth; twin sister Jeanette; nieces Joseé and Elaine; nephew Claude and their families; and extended family members: Bern and Alison Merchant and family, Lee Merchant and Kaleb Penny, and Reneé Merchant; and Elizabeth’s siblings, all who loved her dearly; as well as a circle of family and friends.

Special thanks to the loving and caring staff of St. Luke’s where she spent her final days.

In our sorrow we take comfort in knowing that she will be greeted by her loving husband Ted at the gates of Heaven and flying with a choir of angels over the shores of the Gaspe Coast.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Saturday, April 29 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Sunday, April 30 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Jeanne was such a joyful person who I’ll always remember with a smile as I recall her sense of humour, her joy of life, her love of Ted, and her desire to live life to the fullest – am so sorry for the loss to her family & friends, as she was well loved and will be well missed.
