Obituary
Passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on September 5th, 2022. Jack was 87 years old.
Predeceased by his father, John Francis Sr., and his mother, Lillian (Street) Francis and his sisters; Loretta, Joan, and Gloria.
Leaving to mourn, his caregiver of many years and cousin, Sharon Street; other cousins, Yvonne McGrath, Beverly Escott, Ambrose Street, Juanette Anthony, Elaine Hamlyn, and Shirley Street Yetman. Also a host of nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Teresa Mullowney, and his friend Joan Harrellson.
A special thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at the Health Sciences Centre for the last weeks of Jack’s life, especially the staff on 4SB – your kindness will not be forgotten.
At Jack’s request, there will be no visitation. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Saturday, September 24th, at 11:15AM.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Gathering Place in Jack’s memory.

Thank-you aunt Bev for the email. I never knew my mother’s first cousin Jack, but just learned a lot about him chatting with my mom. Mom’s , dad sister’s son who grew up in Shea Heights and moved downtown. Friend of Shirley”s brother who led a quiet life enjoying his books and tapes.. I’ll ask more when I see you next Sharon
