John “Johnny” Stevenson passed peacefully on May 27, 2026.
Johnny is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his fiancée, Judy Murphy; Judy’s children, Christina (Paul), Robert (Sasha and Savannah), and Brayden (Sara and grandson Maverick); his brother Richard (Charlotte); sister Lillian; and all those who knew and loved him.
The only thing Johnny loved more than Judy was the time he spent in the woods. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found true happiness outdoors and loved sharing stories from his days spent harvesting and exploring nature. The family takes comfort in believing that Johnny is now at peace, once again exploring the wilderness he loved so much.
Johnny also loved a good game of darts and enjoyed spending time at the Knights of Columbus. Johnny was a humble man — except when it came to darts, where according to him, nobody could ever beat him. His sense of humour, storytelling, and love for the outdoors will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Johnny’s dear friend Lori, who spent this past week faithfully by his bedside. Her kindness, compassion, and presence brought immense comfort during an incredibly difficult time and will never be forgotten.
Johnny will be remembered for his love of nature, his stories, his laughter, and the many memories he created with those around him. He will be greatly missed.
At Johnny’s request, there will be no service or funeral.
