Passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on July 26, 2026, John Rose of Portugal Cove–St. Philip’s, at the age of 53.
John was predeceased by his father, John Rose Sr.; his grandparents, Rita and Francis Gladney; and Pearl and Harry Rose.
Leaving to mourn his passing are his loving mother, Maureen; his brother, Billy (June); his three precious children, whom he adored, Samantha, Jonah, and Leah; his niece, Claire; his nephew, Liam; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.
John was a loving and caring man whose kindness touched the lives of many.
“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.”
You will be forever loved and deeply missed, my dear son.
No visitation.

I never in knew John very long. But from the short time I did know him he was a lovely man. I could have never asked for a better neighbor. I will definitely miss our chats and the kids out playing with Zuma (my dog)
