Bursey Family,
We were so sorry to learn of Mr. Bursey’s passing. We have lived on the same street now for several years. I would meet him out for walks with his care worker., who was always so good with him. Mr. Bursey always had a smile and a few pleasant words, as they passed by. Please accept our condolences on your loss.

To the Bursey Family

It is with sadness that I learn of johns passing. He was to me a gentleman’s gentleman. We worked together for many years in gander and Halifax. I have said to many work mates and friends that John was the best forecaster to work a desk that I have ever known. I learned a lot of little known weather info for Nfld and the ocean from John. He made work a pleasure. RIP my good friend.

Very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with John for many years. Always enjoyed Johns humour, and his bright mind.

Angela, Kirk and Family. So sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. Sending our condolence and prayers to you all! Your dad will be remembered as a nice family man and a true gentleman.

My deepest sympathies to your family. Lillian and my mother, Helen Fogwiill Porter, became good friends through the Newfoundland Writers’ Guild, and John was so kind and helpful…always available to provide transportation and anything else needed, with such goodheartedness. Mom thought the world of both of them.

Our sincere sympathy to all the Bursey family at the passing of Mr. Bursey . John was a funny, wise and wonderful loving soul that we were always delighted to visit with whenever he was on the West coast of NL. John always enjoyed a coconut bun with a little raspberry jam and his cup of hot water whenever he and Lillian would visit us York Harbour. We will always cherish the conversations and sharing that was John Bursey.

To the Bursey family: Sorry to hear of John’s passing. My deepest sympathy to all.

Sorry to hear of the passing of our beautiful cousin. Thinking of all the family today, and may you cherish all the beautiful memories of time you all shared together. He was such a sweet, soft spoken man.

Sincere condolences from Roy and I.
