Shocked when I heard,…condolences to the family for your loss

Nanny, (Fanny)
With the lump in my throat and the pain in my heart it is so hard to tell you just how sorry I am that Les was taken from you.
I remember the night Bob brought me home to meet the family, October 21st. 1969.
Les, only 9 years old used to sing with me while his Dad played the guitar.
He was like my little brother. He always sat by me and held my hand.
We were always very close and through the years always kept in touch. Either calling or to just show up on my doorstep.
He loved his family and you were all he spoke of.
I only spoke to him a couple of weeks ago and who would have known I would never see his number on my phone again.
It is so heart breaking!
But Nanny…just know this…. Les might have been taken away but no one can ever take away the beautiful memories …..they are there to stay.
One other thing…..Dad now has his boys tucked safely away, until you meet again.
