Jordan Scott McCormick

Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful boy, Jordan McCormick, at the age of 22, on January 17, 2026, as the result of an accident.

Leaving to mourn are his heartbroken parents, Trevor and Teralynn, and sister, Kiera. His grandparents, Judy and Michael Nolan and Almoira (Myra) McCormick. Aunts Kim Nolan and Penny McCormick and cousins Penni and Evan Smith, and little cousins Jayde and Luke.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Paul McCormick.

Also leaving to mourn his girlfriend of almost five years Leah (Bug/Pouch Cove) Bugden. As well as many close friends Perros Mathioudakis, Noah (Whitty) Whitten, Joey Arsenault, Alex (O.B.) O’Brien, Griffen (Griff) Joy, Brent Parrell, Frank Griffen, Cody Snelgrove, Riley Snelgrove, Riley Lodge, Alex Nugent and Jacob Freeman.

In addition to Perros Methioudakis and Riley Lodge mentioned above, we would like to say a special thank you to Peter, Elizabeth and Raymond Mathioudakis and Justine Perry for always welcoming Jordan into their lives and families over the years.

Jordan also leaves behind a large circle of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He loved family, friends, animals (his three pets Wiggles, Kielie and Evee), summers on the Mira River and spending time in the outdoors.  He lit up every room with his big infectious smile and loved to talk to everyone whether he knew you or not.

Jordan loved to understand how things worked and loved to fix things.  We all turned to him to fix anything that broke around the house or in the garage.  He was a talented hard worker and enjoyed his time working at Peter’s Pizza, Canadian Tire and in his new career as a plumber with Summit Mechanical Services.

His life was short but lived to the fullest.  He was loved by all who knew him.

To the McCormick and Nolan families,
I am so sorry to hear of Jordan’s passing. Although I did not know Jordan, it sounds like he was a vivacious, talented young man who loved others and was well loved. I met you, Teralynn, in 2002 through our mutual friend, Jennifer. We were planning weddings for that year. Several years later, I met you, Judy, at quilters Guild. It was a long time before I realized you were mother and daughter. My condolences to all of you.

Trevor and Family,
My heartfelt condolences on Jordan’s passing. Cherish your memories. Jordon will live always in your hearts.

TeraLynn & family,
We never had the privilege of meeting Jordan but having you as a mom I know he was an exceptional young man.
Thinking of you and sending our deepest condolences.

I had the pleasure of knowing & teaching Jordan for 9 months and so saddened by his loss. He was so very determined, hard worker , and always a pleasure to be around. If Jordan was even 2 mins late for class he was being missed by his class mates , he would never really be all that late but they started a game of guessing if Jordan would show up a few minutes early or a few minutes late , you could really see the positive effect he would have on his friends and class…. My deepest condolences 💐

Teralynn, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Teralynn, Trevor and Kiera, I am so devastated and saddened by this terrible news. I remember years ago during the kids office Christmas parties making paper airplanes for Jordan which he would enthusiastically fly around the office. I also remember the many conversations I had with him on varied topics. He was very engaging and interesting to talk to. In fact I had to remind myself at times that I was speaking with a young boy and not a grown man. He was a very thoughtful , wise and genuine person. Thinking of you all.

Trevor, Teralynn, Keira, family and friends, on behalf of the employees and Board of Directors at Public Service Credit Union, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. May the memories you have of Jordan, his love for life, outdoor activity and willingness to help others, get you through this difficult time.

Trevor and Family,

An unimaginable loss. My deepest condolences to you and your family during this most difficult time.

Dear Myra and family
Please accept my sincere condolence

Dear Trevor, Teralynn and Kiera, I am so sorry for your loss. No family should have to deal with the loss of someone so young. There are a lot of people thinking of you and your extended family, which I hope will give you some comfort. Treasure your memories of the good times you had together and the love you shared.

Teralynn & family my deepest condolences I’m sending all the love and prayers your way, you guys haven’t left my mind since. My heart breaks for you all, I’ll always be a message away if you ever need anything Teralynn.

I don’t know where to begin.. I’m honestly devastated since I got the call January 17 at 8:07pm, the whole car ride home before I answered the phone you crossed my mind and I just couldn’t get you off my mind and I just prayed it wasn’t anything to do with you.

I met you when I first went to MDJH back in 2017-2018 and you were the first person I actually befriended and then you became my best friend for eight years. I never had any girlfriends and I didn’t have a true friend until I met you. I remember you literally used to joke around and say you’d be my girlfriend because I didn’t have any girlfriends. I met you at a time in my life when I genuinely needed one true friend and there you were. You always were more than just a friend you were genuinely my best friend.

You were always there for me at anytime no matter if it was 2pm or 2am in the morning and we’d just talk about anything and everything, you always knew how to calm me down even if I was just crying or not even speaking you’d just be there listening and keeping me company on FaceTime so I didn’t feel lonely. You were always there for me no matter what, from helping me with a major toxic relationship, stress with school, stress about health issues, stress about family, and stress from thinking about the future and bills. You genuinely were my number one to go to, even when something tragic happened you’d be the first person to come to my side. You knew everything about me to a tee and even than not once did you ever judge me or make me feel bad for the things I’ve done, instead you always listened and gave me the best advice on what to do with certain situations.

I remember back in junior high you’d used to always come up to me and say hey missy or hey shorty and make fun of my height and the more I got annoyed the harder you laughed. And even recently when I seen you it was hey missy with the biggest smile on your face. I remember back in high school you used to always message me saying to come out with you because you had a free period and I used to always tell you that I couldn’t because I was failing math and you’d always say math could wait and that it wouldn’t matter in a year’s time because it was only grade 10 mathematics. Or the times when you used to work at Walmart or Peters Pizza and every time I saw you, you’d have the most genuine and contagious smile and you’d always ask how I was doing even when your hands were full. Or the times you dropped pizza off to my house and we’d have a grand ol conversations about my nosey neighbours because instead of parking on my side of the street you’d park in front of their house and you’d come laughing at the door saying look where I’m parked.

Everyday since I met you in junior high for the last 8 years of knowing you, you’d always message me good morning or good night and we’d always share random facts that happened throughout our days. Anything and everything I ever needed help with you were always there no matter if it was from dealing with my boy problems, helping me look at cars to buy and pricing the insurance, and getting me out of bad situations, or even helping me with my shower because the water wouldn’t run or the kitchen sink because the hot water wouldn’t work, or even just making me laugh because you knew something was wrong even though I never said anything was wrong you were able to read me like no other. You used to always tell me when I was going through a hard time that time takes care of everything. You used to always be on my ass for finding a good man not a cocky but a wholesome & humble man because you were always so sick of hearing about stories from the dudes I was involved with and you always said I deserved better. You made sure our conversations ended in laughter and me smiling and I’ll forever be grateful for you for always having my best interests at heart.

I’m honestly so glad I got to meet you and it was a blessing having you as a best friend for all these years. You were truly one of a kind, you always pushed me to be better and was supportive about my feelings, goals and ambitions in life about becoming a police officer. You’ll forever hold a special place in my heart, you were such a beautiful soul to know, I’ll always love you. I wish my old phone didn’t have to break because I had so many more pictures of you. Thank you for always checking on me, thank you for all the laughs and inside jokes. Thank you for everything you’ve ever done for me, you never just helped me you genuinely saved me so many times within the last eight years. Rest easy sweetheart, I’ll always love you.

Myra,

I am deeply saddened to read of the tragic and untimely passing of your grandson, Jordan and I wish to extend my condolences to you and all your family..

Teralynn,Trevor, Keira, extended family and friends. I am so sorry to hear of Jordan’s tragic passing at such a young age. Although it’s a sad time, you will share moments of laughter as well as tears as you reminisce about past times. Celebrate his life and cherish every wonderful memory you have of him. Keep those precious memories close to your heart as it is in those memories he will live on with each of you and you will find comfort and strength to carry on. Teralynn and family, So sorry for the loss you are facing this week. Such a loss of a son is beyond measure. I pray the words and comfort of others will bring you strength in the days and weeks ahead. I pray for peace for you and your family. Take care of yourself and each other.

Dear McCormick family

I met Jordan around the time we were attending McDonald drive junior high. Jordan never failed to be the brightest light in the room. I can’t remember a conversation with him that never ended with a laugh or a smile. I will always remember watching him build motors in the back of Gerrys shop classroom, when we were attending Gonzaga High School. He amazed me with his mechanical know how. Jordan was a rare individual whom always took care of those around him. . I’m grateful for the time spent with him in school and with friends.

My sincerest condolences to the McCormick family.

Teralynn and family
I’m so deeply sorry for the sudden loss of your son, Jordan. May you feel the comforting presence of our Heavenly Father during this time of profound sorrow and unimaginable grief.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

From the time Jordan was a very young child to the most recent time we spoke with him last Christmas Eve, he consistently shared a big contagious smile with the world that made everyone’s day a little brighter. Jordan had a unique and wonderful way about him that made you feel very comfortable in his presence, and it was a genuine pleasure to spend time with him throughout the years at family gatherings, or at chance meetings in an auto parts or hardware store. If you didn’t see Jordan, then you can guarantee that he saw you, and would take the time to tap you on the shoulder, say hi and have a good chat. His kindness, and demeanor were sincere and disarming. He grew that way because he was lucky enough to have strong roots nourished by a supportive, loving family which he cherished above all else.

There aren’t any words to convey the depth of our sorrow for the unfathomable loss you’ve experienced but know that you are in our thoughts, we send our love, and we wish you peace and strength.

The McLeans

Sad to hear of Jordan’s passing. I did not know him well but we had lots of mutual friends and went out to lunch in high school a few times. I hadn’t talked to him since high school probably he was one of the nicest down to earth person that I remember. You will be missed dearly. My condolences to family and friends
Rest in peace

So sad to hear about Jordan’s passing. He was in some of my classes at Gonzaga, and was the kindest person. My sincerest condolences to his family.

I’m so saddened to hear about Jordan’s passing. We spent some time together on Gonzaga’s Student Council in Grade 12. I used to jokingly get mad at him for missing our Monday meetings – only to learn it was always because of Big Mary Monday. I’ll never forget how he brought me back a Big Mary for lunch as a peace offering, as he called it. That was just who Jordan was: genuine, kind, and funny. My sincerest condolences to his family. Keep the memories close.

Trevor and family, so so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of your son Jordan. Terri-Lynn, Trevor and family, our hearts are breaking for you all. We meet Jordan on the first day of kindergarten when he shared a locker with Sara. We watched him as he grew up playing on Ventura Place with all the neighbourhood kids and later in life hanging out with Sara and working with Sam delivering pizza’s. He always had a smile and was a pleasure to talk with. He was truly a great young man and will be missed.

Terralynn and family, I remember your family well from daycare days. I am so, so sorry for your loss. I hope you can find some comfort in the coming days and months by holding on to your memories and with the support of friends and family.

I met Jordan when he and Leah joined the axe throwing league. His presence was always delightful and his attitude and infectious smile was so welcome in our weird little league family.
Too say he’ll be missed is an understatement and my love and thoughts go out to his family and friends with extra love to Leah on this unfortunate loss.

Many condolences to Leah, Jordan’s family, and his many friends. I was shocked to hear this horrible news. I was in axe throwing league with Jordan and Leah at Jack Axes/Halimac for multiple seasons. He was a friendly and kind face at league and if we ran into each other elsewhere. Always friendly, funny, and welcoming.

Leah, I know he loved you very much. Keep his love and memory close during this terrible time.

Rest peacefully Jordan, I will miss chatting with you during my daily walk. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Dear Trevor, Teralynn, Kiera, Leah, and Family,
I’m so extremely sorry for your loss. I went to school with Jordan from Roncalli to Gonzaga, and even though we lost touch after junior high, I’ll always remember him as one of the sweetest, most genuine guys ever. He always had a smile for everyone, and as someone who never had a whole lot of friends as a kid, that always meant so much to me. I’m so glad I got to be his friend, even if it was only for a little while. ♥️

My condolences! My heart breaks for you. I only meet Jordan as a small child, but I know Jordan was a beautiful person just like his mom. 💜

Trevor and family,

I was so saddened to hear of your son’s passing. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your family during this heartbreaking time. I cannot imagine the depth of your loss, and I hope you feel surrounded by care and support in the days ahead.

With sincere sympathy,
Sandra

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Executive and Management Team, Branch and Corporate Teams and the Members of NLCU, I would like to express our deepest and most sincere sympathies to Trevor, Teralynn and Keira as well as Leah and all of Jordan’s family, friends and co-workers at this extremely difficult time. There are simply no words except to say that we have you all in our thoughts and prayers as you navigate this world moving forward. Take care of each other as you cherish every memory.

I never thought I would see this day about Jordan. It’s crazy to believe and I’m still remembering the days me and Jordan would be knocking around acting like fools in teralynn and Trevor’s basement. I wish me and Jordan didn’t fall out of touch because I always considered him a good friend throughout elementary and even when we first started junior high. I wish this day didn’t come and me and Jordan could get back in touch. So sorry for your loss guys❤️

Dear Trevor and family. What a shock to hear of the passing of your son Jordan. No family should have to face this terrible loss. Wishing you peace in the days ahead. God bless.

Jordan was an incredible person. To anyone that crossed paths with him, he was kind, genuine, and a light. He will be missed by so many, as he made such an impact on anyone who knew him. I am sending all of my love and thoughts to his family, Leah, and anyone who had the privilege of knowing Jordan ❤️

There are no words, Jordan (aka Robo) spent many hours hanging out at our house in the garage or around the campfire with the girls and the lads, especially at the tail end of Covid.
His infectious personality and mischievous nature never failed to lift the mood and he was always ready for a conversation beyond his years, jumping to help out with the many vehicle repairs that I often needed help with he was never short of an idea or two.
Time will pass, pain will soften but you will never be forgotten.

Gareth, Kristen, Chloe and Alexis

Rest in peace Jordan ❤️

I want to extend my sincerest condolences to Teralynn, Trevor, Kiera, family, many friends, and Leah, whom Jordan loved so deeply. He had a clear appreciation and love for his family that never went unnoticed, and his generous and joyful spirit will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss, it was a privilege to work beside him and share quality time and great laughs with, he was a great co-worker and an even better friend.

Teralynn, so sorry for your loss. No words can even express your grief. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

We only knew Jordan for a short while at work, but he always talked to everyone as if we knew him a lifetime!
He always made my day better just by popping into the office with a friendly hello! He had the most warm and welcoming smile! He was a kind and great young man!

Jordan was always a burst of happy energy when he popped in to work to steal the car or bring his mother a cup of coffee. Whenever Teralynn was describing Jordan’s latest escapade she always spoke with laughter, love and pride. Trevor and Teralynn you raised a wonderful, happy and deeply loved young man. It has been a privilege to know him. Our family sends you our deepest condolences at this very sad time.

Teralynn, Trevor and Kierra, it is times like these when it is hard to express in words, the loss of such a lovely young man. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and may God give you the strength to get through the days ahead.

This man was probably one of the few people that I wish I got to hang out with more. I met Jordan Back in junior high when I was just making friends, he was always great to talk to and a really funny guy. Just wish I had some more time to make some more memories. Last time I seen Jordan was probably when he was just going in to Peter‘s pizza when I was just walking out and we had a grand old chat about how life was going for everybody he told me about how he got a job as a plumber, I was so proud to hear that from him because he inspired me to go back to school and try to work hard as possible. I wish I had a coworker like him to talk to because you don’t find people like him anywhere you go. Knowing that he’s gone now is gonna be hard on all of us But remembering those moments that made Jordan a deadly old time to be around will never go away. I send all of my condolences to the family, friends and anyone who shared memories with Jordan.

Teralynn, Trevor and Kierra, it is times like these when it is hard to express in words, the loss of such a lovely young man. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and may God give you the strength to get through the days ahead. Hold tight to your memories of Jordan.

Jordan was truly one of the kindest people I have ever met. He was always kind and considerate toward others, endlessly selfless, and cared deeply for his friends. From the moment I met him and his friend group in 2019, he was always there for me. Whenever someone needed a helping hand, he was there without hesitation.

Even though we didn’t see each other as often in the last year or two as we did in high school, he always took the time to catch up when our paths crossed. Sharing so many mutual friends really showed me just how kind and genuine he was to everyone, and how much he touched the lives of those around him. His memory will always be close to my heart, and I will forever be grateful to have known him.

Trevor and Teralynn and Kiera, it is heartbreaking that you have to go through such a horrific loss as this. We have been so saddened since Brent’s phone call on Saturday. Jordan was such a lovely young man who always had a smile that when he went on his travels with the boys. They had such good times and stories to tell about cabin trips, hunting and bike explorations. May you be given strength to manage the pain of this unimaginable loss.

Teralynn. I was so saddened to read of Jordan’s death. There really are no words of condolence to adequately reflect such a devastating loss. He sounds like he grew into a lovely man who really got to live a good life. He had your infectious smile❤️
