Obituary
It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kelly Whelan (White) at the age of 51, on October 5th, 2020. Leaving to mourn with loving and treasured memories her husband Scott Whelan; children Melissa and Chris; granddaughters Dahlia and Lexa; parents Ruby (Brown) and Wayne White; sister Kim White-Crooks and her faithful companion and best friend, her dog Buddy Bear. Also leaving a large circle of family, friends and coworkers whom she cherished beyond measure. Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Saturday, October 10th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Sunshine Squad, Jacob Puddister Memorial Foundation, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Kelly was one my best friends when I moved to Mt Pearl at the age of 7. We hung out a lot. She was my first kiss too. I’m deeply saddened to hear of her passing. Much too young. Rest easy Kelly. I hope you’re at peace now ❤️
