Kemberly Brenda Chaulk

April 11, 1966 to January 6, 2022

Obituary

We are devastated to announce the passing of Kemberley Brenda Chaulk. Kem passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on January 6, 2022, at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador.

Kem was predeceased by her father, Bert Chaulk. Left to mourn with broken hearts are her mother, Shirley Chaulk; partner, Tex Janes; sister Janice (Brian); brothers Duke (Mary), Vince (Tina) and Rick (Louise); nieces Christina (Mark), Jessica (Steve), Courtney, Brittany, Charity and Celena; nephews Sam and Ben as well as a large number of other beloved relatives.

Kem also had many friends who were very important in her life. Special friends included Louise, Glenda, Gerard, Cassandra, Penny and her best friend and furry handful, her dog Max. Except for Max, who wasn’t allowed in the ICU (we would have gotten him in if we could have), they were all there with Kem in her final moments.

Kem loved family and family gatherings were some of her favourite places to be, laughing and sharing funny stories of growing up in Ladle Cove, whether it was the annual Christmas Eve gathering around her parents’ table or at White Point enjoying time with family and the many friends who would drop by and visit. As Kem did not want a service, and due to COVID restrictions, there will be a gathering at White Point in the future to celebrate Kem’s life. According to Kem’s wishes, cremation has already taken place.

Special thanks to Dr. O’Brien; Dr. Rector; Dr. Miles; Dr. Fitzgerald; nurses Kayla, Anne, and Celeste; and all the other nurses at the CCU/ICU at the Health Sciences Centre. Your kindness and caring have meant the world to Kem’s loved ones.

Donations can be made in Kem’s memory to your local SPCA charity.

Death ends a life, not a relationship. All the love you created is still there. All the memories are still there. You live on—in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here.

I’m so sorry for your loss, I worked with Kem at the crossroads for a number of years, she was a good friend. Oh the stories I could tell, the many laughs we had., The memories I have so many.. she was so kind hearted, her love for her family and max were unconditional. Rip Kem

Sending deepest condolences to Kem’s family during this difficult time. Kem was a very kind-hearted person, who loved her family and Max dearly. My daughter Isabelle always looked forward to spending time with her, Kelly and Max at their home, and they would always make sure that they had a kinder egg or treat for her. Kem was always laughing and smiling, and I will remember her for that.
Rest peacefully, Kem.

I look forward to the time at John 5:28, 29 ” the hour will come when God will wake Kem up from grave and get up.” She will live on Paradise earth..with all her loved ones and my dead loved ones, Rosanne and so many more! Look forward to this hope that will come true because promises humans make and cant come true but our creator of our life can!
