To the Winsor Family,
We are sorry to hear of Lawrence’s passing. He was
A well known and much welcome visitor to our Dawe family home on Cherry Lane. How he loved to pick up a broom to help Dad in his garage or sit and have a chat with Mom in the kitchen. His gentle manner, pleasant chat and robust laugh made it
a pleasure to be in his company. We enjoyed many chats ourselves on our morning walks. We missed him when he moved but trust he remained his happy self, brightening the day of others as he did on Cherry Lane.
So sad to hear of Lawrence ‘s passing. Rest in peace. Marcos, Anna, Marc & David
My condolences to the Winsor family and all who knew him. I would see him every time I visited the DVA. He was always in his chair in the atrium just waiting for someone to come in to have a chat with..
He was such a gentle man who has left this world way to soon.. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
I am so sad to hear of Larry’s passing. Larry was a gentle soul, who loved doing his puzzle books. Larry was always willing to lend a helping hand and loved spending time with family and friends. Soar high with the angels my friend.
Please accept my sincere condolences on Larry’s passing. He was a sweet, gentle soul. It was a pleasure to care for him during his time at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion. We shared many laughs, he will be missed.
We are so sad to learn that Larry has passed away. We have many great memories of Larry and our friendship with him at Cherry Lane. Larry was the very best neighbor…always willing to lend a hand. He loved his son, his brothers and sisters and especially his Mom. How he missed her when she passed away. We heard so many stories of their adventures…berry picking, painting and working around the cabin. Larry loved a good fire…when Bill would light the fire, we always knew Larry would join us. And how Larry loved to paint – he was so pleased to have a painting project and so proud of his work….our backyard swing, garden furniture, a bench, storage box…he was meticulous with it all. Larry was the very best Assistant Gardener – watering, counting the tomatoes, checking on the progress of the seeds, mulching – he enjoyed it all and we loved his company. Our greenhouse, garage, or back deck were often a refuge for him when he just wanted to sit and rest. Larry loved a feed of KFC and a cold diet pepsi!! His fall harvest of apples meant we had apple jam for him to enjoy on a freshly baked tea bun. He loved music from the 50s and 60s and he would share so many stories of his life as a father, butcher, brother and son. How he loved to fish and pick berries. And how he enjoyed having fish cooked at Cherry Lane Manor!! Don’t give him lasagna but a good old fashioned Sunday dinner made his day! Larry was kind, a gentleman and a gentle man. If he was your friend, you were forever protected and loved. And we loved him…rest in peace, Larry! We hope you and your mom are in the biggest berry patch and sharing all the news. You are missed💕
