Ann, Debbie and Andrea and family…. I am deeply saddened to hear of Osh’s passing. He was a truly remarkable person—an accomplished professional, a dedicated athlete, and, above all, a man of integrity. He carried himself with elegance and grace, earning the respect of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His unwavering commitment to his community, colleagues, and family was evident in everything he did. He was a moral beacon, always striving to do what was right, and his presence brought warmth, wisdom, and kindness to those around him. The void he leaves behind is immeasurable, but so is the legacy he built—a legacy of excellence, compassion, and unwavering principles.

May his memory continue to inspire, and may you find comfort in the love and respect he cultivated throughout his life. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

With deepest sympathy,
Jeannie Andrews Harding

Ann, Debbie, Andrea and family…. I find it very difficult to put into words the immense loss that I feel with Lester’s passing. We started out as neighbours and through curling, barbershop, family gatherings and raising our children, we became lifelong friends. It has been a privilege to have shared over 60 years of memories with such an incredible man and his family. He may be gone from this earth but he will be forever in our hearts and the good Lord has seen fit to call him home. May God bless and keep you my dear friend.

With sadness in my heart I send my most sincere sympathies from Saskatchewan to Ann, Deborah and Andrea and family. I’m sorry I never had the chance to meet Lester in person (I tried to skip school) but he did leave me a nice curling pin during one of his visits in the 70’s out west which I still have. We all kept up with your family as they competed in Scottie’s and we know Lester and Ann kept up on Briers our son was in … it seemed to keep our families close. Dad considered Lester a good friend and was always mentioned something about him as I’m sure he was thinking of the good times in St John’s. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him but always remembered. Take care of each other.

So sorry to hear of Lester’s passing.. Lester was the type of person that you were pleased to call “friend”. He and I had many a curling battle over the years. W in or lose he was always the gentleman. Liz and I send our sincere condolences.

Dear Ann and Family. Ann and I send our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Lester, a remarkable Gentleman who touched the lives, and endeavored to make life better in so many areas of society. I first met Lester, when I worked with his Mom, Pearl, for three years back in the early 1960’s at Dominion Stores, Churchill Square. Our paths would cross many times over the years, at the Curling Club on Factory lane, the Masonic Fraternity, which I joined in 1983. Always so positive and upbeat, even when faced with lots oh health challenges, he will be remembered and missed for a long time for his enormous contributions in many areas. God Bless.

Ann and Family,
We express our sincere condolences to you all at this time. Lester was a dear friend and, of course, a Masonic Brother. We shared many great times together during Lester’s term as District Grand Master, and I was certainly honoured to serve with him as his Director of Ceremonies and Junior Warden. Lodge St. Andrew, AASR Valley of St. John’s, and the Royal Order of Scotland brought us together often over the years. His love for the Craft and his emphasis on protocol, dignity, and decorum were hallmarks of his personality. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
