Obituary
With sad and heavy hearts, the family of the late Linda Whalen (Miller) announce her peaceful passing on her 74th birthday surrounded by her loving family and friends at Pleasant View Towers on March 15th, 2025.
Linda is predeceased by her loving husband Bob; parents Gerald Miller and Ethel Miller (Tucker); parents-in-law Ormond Whalen and Lottie Whalen (Lodge); sisters Jean Thorne and Brenda Miller.
Linda leaves behind her two daughters April (Stephen) and Rhonda (Bj); and Nana’s precious grandson Ben who was the light of her life. Also leaving to mourn are her brothers Gerry (Bernice), Glenn and Barry; brothers-in-law Blaine (Janet) and Greg (Wanda); and many nieces and nephews.
Linda also leaves to mourn a very special sister-in-law Phyllis (Bob); and special niece Chrystal (Jon). Phyllis, Bob and Chrystal stayed by Linda’s side throughout her entire journey offering Linda and her daughters so much love and support. Phyllis and Linda had a special bond that made them more like sisters and they spent many hours talking on the phone.
Also leaving to mourn, a large circle of extended family and friends including Marion and Gordon Churchill; Pam and Dave Mercer; Debbie and Gren LeGrow; Moya Tucker; Carol Budden and Deanne Taylor.
At Linda’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
A funeral service will be held from St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove, on Thursday, April 17 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers donations in Linda’s memory may be made to St. Lawrence Anglican Church in Portugal Cove, or a charity of one’s choice.

My deepest condolences to the Miller and Whelan families on Linda’s passing. She was a great lady. She taught me how to Jive at the Sugar Shack when we were teenagers. She was a great dancer.
