Obituary

With great sadness the family of Lloyd Stone announce his peaceful passing at the Health Science Centre on July 24, age 74 years.

Predeceased by his parents Ralph and Ivy Stone. Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Barbara (Allen/McKim); children Marc (Lynn), Warren, and Taryn (Keith); grandchildren Sarah, Taylor, Mackenzie, Jake and Sam; stepchildren Keith (Sonia), Wendy (David), Sharon (Will); grandchildren Cohen, Avery, Brooklyn and Brock; sister-in-law Diane (Reg) Caughie and their children Susan and Stephen,  and special cousins Shirley (Wallace) Fowler, David (Linda) Stone, Harry (Pat) Stone.

The family wishes to thank the medical and nursing staff (especially Sherry) of the CCU for the care and compassion shown to Lloyd and his family.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 28 from 11am-2pm at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, with a celebration of life taking place in the Carnell Memorial Chapel at 2pm.  Donations to the SPCA or Heavenly Creatures in his memory would be greatly appreciated.

So sorry to hear of Lloyd’s passing. Barb and family please accept our sincere sympathy.

I am truly sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences. I hope the Stone family find comfort and strength in Jesus promise along with our heavenly father Jehovah of the earthly resurrection, where death will be eliminated forever. Truly, what a glorious and almost unbelievable day that will be! It’s a reality though for God cannot lie!

Sorry to hear of Lloyd’s passing and sending out sincere condolences to the whole family. You and in our prayers.

God is called the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation. Thus, no one better than him, understands the depth of your pain and can help you cope with your disquieting thoughts. (Psalm 34:18; 37:9, 29)  May you get the strength and inner peace you need in the coming days.

Sorry for your loss. I have lots of awesome memories of Lloyd. He was always good for a story or a laugh. I remember times at the cabin in Monroe like they were yesterday. And many drop in visits in St. Johns.. Sorry we couldn’t be there and please know we are thinking of you all.
