Loretta Mary Hampton (Bennett)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Loretta Mary Hampton (Bennett), of Portland, NL, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, age 78 years.

Predeceased by her parents Percy and Marion Bennett; and parents-in-law Maxwell and Leah Hampton.

Left with fond and loving memories her husband of 52 years, Norman; daughter Natasha (Garland); grandchildren Sebastian (Megan), and Jeremy; precious great-grandchild Chesley; SISTER Peggy (Tony); brothers Walter (Donna), Clyde, and Wayne (Betty); brother-in-law Harvey (Elva); sister-in-law Ethel; nephews Robert (Zach, Abbey, Luke), Stephen and Johnathan; niece Candice; as well as other relatives and friends.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff on the seventh floor of St. Clare’s, and family and friends who have reached out during this difficult time.

As per Mary’s wishes cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
