It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lucille Field: a loving partner, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Lucille was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew her—a woman whose warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit touched countless hearts.

She has been reunited with her baby boy, Keith. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Mary Field, and her parents-in-law, Mary and Angus Murphy.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her partner in crime, Mike Murphy; her daughters, Nicole (Steven) and Bobbi-Lynn (Justin); and her sons, Jeremy and Josh (Nichole). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Heidi, Jordyn, Tyler, Darcy, Noah, and Brooke; her fur babies, Gizmo and Zorro; and her “grand-fur babies,” Ben, Luna, Boo, Lilo, Roscco, and Blue.

Lucille is survived by her brothers and sisters: Albert (Kay, deceased), Phil (Nina, deceased), Val (Barb), Dot (Pat, deceased), Olive (Ed), Robert (Bernadette), Gladys (Paul), Betty (Cal, deceased), Bernice (Lawrence), and Shirley. Also leaving to mourn are her brothers and sisters-in-law: Eileen (Reg), Uriel (Ron), Willy (Lisa), Gerard (Joanne), Wayne (Joanne), Linda (Steve), Pat (Joanne), Margie (John), and Clara (Hughie); as well as Joe (deceased), Francis (deceased), Christine (deceased; Carl), and Jimmy (deceased).

She leaves behind her special niece, Jody (Billy), and special nephews, Andrew (Jasmine), Cody (Maggie), and Kyle, along with a large circle of nieces and nephews. Also mourning her loss are her special friends Bernice Ryan, Marguerite O’Brien, Raelene and Chad Kerrivan, Brenda Murphy, and her hairdresser, Lori Moss, as well as her entire dart and card family. She had far too many special friends and family members to mention, but she loved them all dearly.

Public Visitation will take place from Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John’s, NL on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 from 11:00AM-1:00PM and 3:00PM-9:00PM.

To Nicole, Bobbi, Lynn, Jeremy, Joshua, and Mikey ❤️

I just want to honour your mom and the beautiful soul she was. She was truly one of the nicest people you could ever meet—kind, caring, and always wanting the very best for the people she loved. When we were kids, she watched over us like we were her own, making sure we were safe, looked after, and felt cared for.

She had a way of making people feel comfortable and welcome, and she did it with warmth and humour—she was funny, in that effortless way that made moments lighter just by her being there. Her love left a mark on all of us, and that kind of love doesn’t fade. It lives on through her family, through the stories, the laughs, and the values she passed down.

She will always be remembered, and she will always be missed. Sending all my love and strength to you during this incredibly hard time. 🤍Rest easy Lucille

To all of Lucille’s family , so very sorry to hear of her sudden passing. She was the most kindhearted, best cookie baker and awesome dart player. She had a laugh that you will never forget. She will certainly be missed by all of us at Kelly Park Mixed Dart League. We are all heartbroken 💔
